Set in an early Victorian villa (built in 1840), Ascot House Hotel has now been refurbished, over 2 years, as a ‘boutique’ hotel in the sense that all rooms have much individuality and are furnished with period furniture of either English or French origin. As a result, you will find a mixture of antique pine (for instance in our luxury suite), mahogany, fruit wood (for instance in our ‘Gothic suite’) or even ‘shabby chic’ painted and distressed furniture (for instance in our top suite with sea views over the whole of the bay).
All rooms have en-suite facilities or exclusive use bathrooms (one room could not have an en-suite bathroom due to the configuration of this period building; as a result, its bathroom is adjacent rather than en-suite). They also have hospitality trays, fresh milk kept in fridges next to or within the rooms, LCD wall-mounted TVs and free wifi. Moreover, they benefit from many ‘personal touches’ like toiletries, tissues, wine glasses and being serviced daily.
Our luxury and gothic suite offer outstanding value for money and have access, through French windows, to the original full length period balcony which include tables, chairs and benches for you to enjoy the sun… and a cigarette since we are happy for you to smoke there.
The Anglo-French theme has also been extended to our extensive breakfast menu which includes individual plates of fresh fruit and home made preserves in addition to our cooked-to-order traditional English breakfast using top quality produce. We use free range eggs, top quality sausages and bacon as well as baked vine tomatoes sprinkled in olive oil.
Bienvenue à Ascot House Hotel!
